Rodrigo joined the Immigration Policy Lab at ETH Zurich in July 2021. He contributed to the research on the Venezuelan refugee crisis in Latin American countries and a research project related to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece. Rodrigo holds an MA in economics from Central European University with a specialization in economic theory and economic analysis and a BA in economics from Kansas State University. His research interests are within the fields of labor and personnel economics: labor market discrimination, the integration of immigrants, and access and returns to education. His master thesis, which was awarded the best thesis in economics from his graduating cohort, was about labor market discrimination in the United States toward Arabs and Muslims in response to terrorist attacks.
