Francesca Codega is a PhD student at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, ETH Zürich. Her research focuses on the effects of Collective Bargaining Agreements and their audit system on labor market outcomes, workforce composition, political preferences, and attitudes toward migrants.Before her PhD, Francesca worked as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher at the Immigration Policy Lab at ETH Zürich and contributed to the GeoMatch project at Stanford University. She holds a BSc and an MSc in Economics from the University of Geneva and completed an exchange program at the American University of Beirut. Her Master’s thesis examined anticipatory actions and disaster-induced displacement in Sub-Saharan Africa.She has also worked as a data analyst at the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Geneva and Budapest, supporting global migration programs and humanitarian operations in Ukraine. In addition, she has been actively involved in volunteer initiatives assisting immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in Lebanon and Switzerland.
