About

Andrea manages IPL’s global refugee portfolio, which includes research on refugee resettlement, integration, and aid in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Jordan. She brings to IPL over seven years of experience in international development and relief work, with a focus on displaced populations in the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe. Fluent in Spanish and Arabic, Andrea has worked with Iraqi refugees in Syria, Palestinian refugees in Chile, Druze communities in Israel, and Syrian and Afghani refugees in Greece.

Experience

Andrea received her B.A. from Brown University in International Relations and was a Fulbright Scholar in Chile, where her research on Arab refugee resettlement and immigration was published in the country’s largest public library. She has worked in Public Information for UNHCR’s Regional Office for Southern Latin America and as a consultant for Talent Beyond Boundaries. Prior to joining IPL, Andrea managed emergency refugee aid programs on the Greek island of Kos with international NGO Mercy Corps. Her research and translations have been published by organizations including UNESCO and the Council on International Educational Exchange.
