Michelle Acampora holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich. Her research lies at the intersection of development and behavioral economics, focusing on how market frictions and social incentives affect belief formation and individual behavior, from market participation to demand for mental healthcare. Her current focus is on the role played by stereotypes, stigma, and image concerns as barriers to seeking mental healthcare.
